JOB
Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling cashier transactions; reviewing, organizing and compiling management reports on a timely basis and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions.
He/she is also responsible for effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management and performing guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Must be able to prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines.
Perform guest services functions as required.
Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports as required according to MEA standards.
Prepare and distribute month-end reports.
Audit and reconcile all Cashiers' work.
Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
Input and update financial information.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required.
Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Handle guest requests.
Qualifications Previous experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
Guest Service Experience preferred.
Computer knowledge/skills required.
Late/Overnight shift Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
